Core Neighbourhood Club is run at Core Neighbourhood Youth Co-op, Monday to Friday from approximately 11 am – 2 pm, with flexibility on start and end times. The program is designed for youth ages 15 and up, and is run in Partnership with Core Neighbourhood Youth Co-op and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools.
Having a safe place to be where youth are exposed to new opportunities and positive adult role models is very important in the healthy development of youth. Programming is participant driven and based on our Vision and Mission, Core Values, and Model for Success.
In the morning, youth are attending a High School credit class and then attending our programming which includes life skills, wellness, physical activity, employability skill development, cultural activities, homework help etc. The programming is flexible to meet the needs of the youth attending. Youth attending our “class”/program time earn an elective High School credit through Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools.
Raise the Grade, supported by RBC Future Launch, is a program designed to provide skills, mentors, and supports to high school students. Raise the Grade helps these students through academic support and career discovery at Boys and Girls Clubs. Through hands-on learning opportunities, a specific focus on personal interests and goals, and supportive relationships with mentors and volunteers, young people are given the skills and tools they need to be successful in school, work, and life.
